All’s Fair in Love and Wine
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and we’ve got some ideas to help you celebrate:
- When talking about our events, common feedback we hear is “Oh that sounds fun, but my (insert one: boo/bff) only drinks beer.” Well, no more excuses! Friday night, we’ll be pouring both wine AND beer at Jane in Kernersville! This event is for couples - either your gal, your pal, or significant other. And bonus - you can shop the boutique after. For more details, including a link to purchase tickets, see Jane's website.
- One of THE absolute worst times of the year to go out to eat is on Valentine’s Day. It’s crowded, gimmicky, and overpriced. Why not join us and your boo for an evening of wine tasting, education, and fun! On February 14th, we'll be at Grove Winery and Vineyard leading a wine appreciation class called "Love Unions." We will be telling the story of love unions in wine. That's right: love and wine! We will go through the parentage of some common vinifera and introduce you to some of their "love children" aka hybrid grapes. (Spoiler alert: Things got pretty raunchy between the vines...) We'll be sampling some of Grove's fabulous wines as well as wines from around the world. For more information or to make reservations, visit Grove!
- Not sure what to drink on Valentine's Day? Revisit last year's post on conversation heart and wine pairings to see what wine fits your V-Day mood.
- Finally, if you want to dig reaaaaaaal deep, here's another Valentine's Day post from the Wine Mouth archives, circa 2015.
